Proforma ivoice:
Is required to optain import licence.

Packing list:
Is required.

Facture commerciale:
Established in Portugese, English or French. At the end of the invoice the following declaration is required, legally signed by the exporter: "Confirmamos que as mercadorias indicadas nesta factura sao de origem da ........". In addition to the usual information the import licence number, the issue and expiry date must appear.

Attestado de verificaçao: Angolan authorities require an inspection of imported goods exceeding a value of USD 5000. This is necessary if the import licence issued mentions the requirement. The inspection concerns the quantity, the quality and the price. Certain inspections must be carried out prior to packing. Please contact the officially mandated company as soon as possible:

Shipment information
Packing:
No specific requirements for the use of straw or hay in packaging is known. Generally packaging should withstand tropical climat for some time.

Marking:
There are no specific prescriptions in respect to packaging. However, standard marking practice should be followed.

Insurance:
Imported goods must be insured by the national insurance company ENSA. Exceptions may be able for urgent air or sea freight.

Mailing:
To the documents add a pre-addressed and paid reply envelope for the return of the approved export declaration.

Samples:
Samples without commercial value in limited quantities are free of customs duties, exceptions are tobacco, alcohol and sweetener. Maximum weight: 2 kg.

Handling of goods not collected:
Customs will store them for up to 12 months, goods stored outside up to 30 days and hazardous goods up to 15 days. After the expiry of the period they are sold.

Foreign exchange:
All foreign exchange transactions are handled through commercial banks mandated by the "Banco Nacional de Angola", based on the issued import licence and a copy of the proforma invoice.
